Early Childhood Education - CIP19.0708

As more and more parents join the workforce,
the demand for top-notch childcare providers increases. Additionally, anyone interested in working with children in a field such as child psychology, elementary education, social work, children’s entertainment, or childcare should consider the Early Childhood Education Program. High achieving students will be eligible to take the examination required for the Child Development Association (CDA) credential. Students receiving a score of Advanced on the National Occupational Competency Institute (NOCTI) examination will receive a minimum of 9 college credits at participating post-secondary institutes through the PA SOAR program.

Meet the Teacher

Ms. Rhodes started her journey at Pottstown High School as the Early Childhood Education instructor in 2015. Early Childhood Education has always been one of Ms. Rhodes' passions. One of her favorite parts of teaching at Pottstown is guiding students who share her same passion. The success of her students is vital to her as through them she is assured the community will continue to improve and many great things will come out of Pottstown; a community that she holds dear to her heart.

The program is extremely special to Ms. Rhodes as she herself was a Pottstown High School graduate. While attending Pottstown High School, Ms. Rhodes was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program.

When she is not spending time at school, she loves spending time with her family. She has three children of her own, two are current Pottstown students and one is attending college.
