Ms. Bachert recently earned her Master’s degree in School Counseling from The University of Scranton, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology. She brings valuable experience from her internship placements at Lackawanna Trail Junior/Senior High School and Dallas Middle School, where she worked closely with students to support their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Outside of school, Ms. Bachert enjoys golfing, spending summers at the shore in Stone Harbor, and rewatching Grey’s Anatomy. She recently made the move from New Jersey to Pennsylvania and is very excited to begin working with our students and families here in Pottstown.
Kayla Reeder, 6th Grade Counselor

Miss Reeder earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and a Master's degree from West Chester University in School Counseling in 2022. Miss Reeder has years of experience working with children and adolescents previously working as a Prevention Education Specialist for Victim Services Center of Montgomery County and a Caseworker for ungovernable and truant youths for The Academy. She has been employed by the Pottstown School District since 2022.
Danielle Ambrose 7th Grade Counselor

Ms. Ambrose is excited to be part of the Pottstown School District community as a School Counselor. She has nearly 15 years of experience working with students across grade levels, from middle school through college. She earned her Master's Degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from West Chester University and her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Arcadia University.
One of the things Ms. Ambrose values most about being a counselor is getting to know students, helping them recognize their strengths, and encouraging them to believe in themselves. She is especially passionate about helping students become strong self-advocates and empowering them to work through challenges and obstacles as they pursue their goals. She strives to create an environment where students feels comfortable coming to her, knowing they will be heard, supported, and treated with care.
Outside of school, Ms. Ambrose enjoys spending time with her children, getting outdoors and hiking, reading, and listening to and seeing live music. She looks forward to getting to know the students and families in the school community and being a part of their middle school journey this year!
Sofia Perry 8th Grade Counselor

Ms. Perry earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from George Washington University in Washington D.C., and her master's degree in School and Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. During her practicum and internship experiences in the School District of Philadelphia, she worked closely with students to support her academic, social, and emotional growth. These experiences strengthened her passion for helping students navigate the challenges of middle school, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
Ms. Perry is excited to be part of the Pottstown Middle School community and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students and families. She is committed to creating a supportive and welcoming environment where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Outside of school, Ms. Perry enjoys going to the beach, taking nature walks, cheering on her favorite Philly sports teams, and spending time with her dog, Moneypenny.
