The Boyertown Area Multi-Service Center is truly grateful for the opportunity to support the Ricketts Center in honoring its legacy and continued impact in the Pottstown community.

“On behalf of our organization, we are proud to continue building on the strong foundation of the Ricketts Center and its importance to the Pottstown area,” said Robert Varga, Executive Director of Boyertown Area Multi-Service Center, which operates the Rickett Center. “With the Borough of Pottstown renewing its partnership with Multi-Service through 2029, we remain committed to strengthening community, expanding capacity, and ensuring the Center serves as a vital resource for those we serve.”

The Ricketts Center provides free, community-centered programming focused on youth and families, including sports, fitness, health and wellness, and academic support. These programs are designed to create a safe, welcoming space that promotes growth, connection, and opportunity.

Multi-Service will not duplicate existing services in Pottstown. Instead, we will continue to collaborate with and refer individuals to established community partners who provide critical services such as case management, behavioral health, food access, and support for older adults.

Robert Varga serves as Executive Director of Boyertown Area Multi-Service Center, coming from a strong background as an executive director for the YMCA for the past 10 years. Overseeing operations is Randy Hawkins, Director of the Ricketts Center. Randy brings a strong passion for youth development and community service, and will lead efforts to expand programming and deepen community engagement.

Looking ahead, the Borough of Pottstown has secured funding to support future improvements to the Ricketts Center in 2027. Planned enhancements include new basketball flooring, updated bathrooms, an upgraded weight room, and additional facility improvements to better serve the community.

Multi-Service will also continue to expand programming at the Ricketts Center, introducing new opportunities and activities to meet the evolving needs of youth, families, and residents throughout the Pottstown area
