Congratulations to Pottstown High School student athlete Dillon Mayes for being honored by the Norristown Chapter of Football Officials with the good sportsmanship award. Dillon is a highly competitive student athlete who helped lead his team to their first district playoff appearance in eight years. Head coach Levert Hughes said our student athletes recognize that they are representatives of our program, school, and community. Learning to play with honor, pride, and good sportsmanship are basic lessons that can be learned by taking part in athletics. Knowing that the officials refereed hundreds of games and came in contact with thousands of athletes makes this an extremely significant recognition for Dillon and our entire community. Thank you for giving us another reason to, say proud to be from Pottstown.
