PHS National Honor Society induction program is one of my favorite events of the year. Young men and women recognized for their leadership, academic achievement and citizenship. Tonight was a double recognition ceremony for this year's students and those who qualified last year but did not have an opportunity for a formal ceremony due to Covid restrictions. The candle lighting ceremony recognizes the four pillars of National Honor Society; scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Each student signed the chapter registry. Their name will become part of PHS history. Principal Ms. McCoy congratulated students and reminded them that their present success and future success is built on the Trojan principle that hard work pays off. Director of Human Resources Mr. Boyer encouraged students to live a life of integrity. This year the chapter celebrated the 87th consecutive year of Pottstown High School National Honor Society membership. Can only say one thing after a night like this, Proud to be from Pottstown.
