District looks to Build Back Better bill to cover cost of school tree planting

POTTSTOWN — The Build Back Better Act that passed the House of Representatives may give the Pottstown School District an opportunity to sidestep paying for a proposal to spend $400,000 to plant 550 trees over the next three years.

The proposal by board member Thomas Hylton, who has spent decades championing, and paying for, the planting and maintenance of street trees, has been the subject of some spirited discussion at the committee level in recent months
