Middle School Reading Olympic Team Scores Green

Congratulations to the Pottstown Middle School Reading Olympics Team for earning a green ribbon in the county wide Reading Olympics contest.

Held virtually, the event encourages students to increase the quality and quantity of books they read for enjoyment. Team members included, Omaria Miller, Jayden Bell, Wesam Elgendy, Nye Powell, Cheyenne Flamer, Brianna Bui, Isabella Wright, and Arian Tinson.

Middle school librarian Andrea Roberts along with teachers Kim Petro and Emilie Dormer helped students prepare for the event. Roberts said, we enjoyed working with students, they showed enthusiasm and enjoyed learning how to work as a team. Nye Powell showed pride when he correctly answered a question about a phrase used in the book Ali Cross "When they go low we go high."

Trojan Proud of students and staff, more reason to say proud to be from Pottstown.
