Trojan Proud of Pottstown High School class of 1941 graduate Ted Novak, who served in the United States Army during World War II . He was awarded the Bronze Star for action in combat and twice received the Purple Heart for being wounded in action. At the age of 100 years, he will be traveling to France to receive the country's highest honor, by being named a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
