Sharing breakfast together is a good way to start the day with your child. Rupert Elementary School held their annual Donuts for Dads where dads, uncles, grandpops and friends got to eat breakfast together and share some time reading one of their favorite stories. New to this year's event saw dads and kids playing a board game that reinforces the social emotional lessons students learned in class (SEL). Principal Matt Moyer said, building strong social emotional skills is an important factor in achieving success in school and everyday life. Adding the board game to our dads event was a great opportunity for family members to better understand the classroom lessons and help develop strong family bonds.
