Mr. Pierce's 2nd Grade Class

I graduated from Millersville University in 2006, with a degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching second grade at Barth Elementary for nine years. Prior to working at Barth Elementary, I was a daycare teacher and summer camp counselor at Wee Care Child Development Center. Through all of my positive experiences at Wee Care, I developed a love for helping the children learn, and guiding them to achieve their future goals.

My teaching philosophy is based on creating a comfortable learning environment, where students respect one another, and work collaboratively towards their everyday learning goals. For me, teaching has always been a passion. I feel that I am full of energy and motivation! I enter my classroom with a positive attitude each day, and do my best to pass this philosophy on to my students!
