Family Sharing from your iPad
Posted 1/16/2016 at 3:08:03 PM by CAROL BRIGHTBILL [staff member]
Hi there!
One teacher shared the following of what she is doing:
Have you looked into Family Sharing with iTunes?? I'm trying it with my iPads so that I can share some apps that I downloaded with my personal account with my student iPads. It seems like you can set the iPads up like they belong to kids and the adult can choose which apps to share on which devices. I'm still tweaking it to make sure it works correctly, but it seems like something that might help others.
Share you favorite apps!

Blox 3D

I have found the app Blox 3D to be useful on my iPads. It is a watered down version/similar to Minecraft. I am not very familiar with Minecraft but I know the kids love it.
What I like about this app is the fact that kids can either recreate buildings/cities from research they have done OR create a town and buildings of their own and write about them.
Epic!

There is a great resource I have shared with many of my elementary colleagues. Epic! Can be downloaded as an app or the website getepic.com
Essentially it is a library of books, fiction and nonfiction that students can listen to/read.
