INTRO TO WELLNESS
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING TEACHER
I started teaching in the Pottstown School District in August of 2002 at Barth Elementary School. I taught at the elementary level for eight years where I developed and implemented a comprehensive Health Education program across the district for all fourth graders that is still running to this day and was named E.B. Barth Elementary School teacher of the year in 2006. In 2011 I transitioned to teaching Wellness and Strength and Conditioning at Pottstown High School. It has been a rewarding experience to see my former elementary students continue their education and graduate to move on to other endeavors. Prior to coming to Pottstown I taught at Delaware Valley Charter High School in Philadelphia where I was one of the founders of the Charter School Athletic Association and Head Basketball Coach. I also taught and coached football in the Neshaminy School District. I graduated from Western Maryland College with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and Physical Education while minoring in Athletic Training, Education, and Coaching. In my free time I enjoy coaching football, hiking, fishing, swimming, lifting weights, riding motorcycles, and playing sports.
