My Current Teaching Experience
I am a Life Skills Support Teacher at Pottstown Senior High School. I have been with the Pottstown School District since the Fall of 2005. I have worked with Special needs adults and children for over 25 years.
My Background and Education
I was born in Allentown Pennsylvania and grew up in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Lehighton Area High School, I attended and graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College (PBBC) in Owatonna, Minnesota. Upon graduating with a BS in Elementary Education and Bible with a minor in Special Education from PBBC, I continued my education at Lehigh University. I graduated from Lehigh with a Masters of Education in Special Education. I have worked with individuals with Special Needs in community based homes. I began my teaching career with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. In 2005, I became a teacher with the Pottstown School District. I currently teach a Life Skills Support class at Pottstown High School.
My Interests and Family
I am married to a wonderful man, Juan and we have worked together to raise 5 little girls into 5 amazing young women. They range in ages from 20 to 27. My family has always enjoyed the annual family vacations. Out typical destination is Florida. We truly enjoy the SUN! The Holiday season is also a joyous time for us. Being together laughing and eating is always a good time!
