Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!!!
The 2019-2020 school year will be my seventeenth as a member of the PHS English Department. For the 2019- 2020 school year I will be teaching Honors World Literature, American Literature and Composition, and English 1 in the fall and Honors American Literature and Composition, American Literature and Composition, and English I in the spring.
I am a graduate of Salesianum High School in Wilmington, Delaware and West Chester University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education- Communications. I have taken several graduate level courses in Communications, Reading Specialist studies, Affective Education, Restorative Practices, and ESL.
As a product of farm life in Southern Chester County and more than twenty years in the fire and EMS services, I believe that work ethic and personal responsibility are the two most important qualities an individual can have. Therefore, I believe that every student must take responsibility and play an active role in his or her education. I expect them to help me help them not only to learn but also how to learn.
