K-12 Family Resource Social Worker
The Family Resource Coordinator is available to support school teams and families as they decide how to best assist a family in need of resources and support outside of the Pottstown School District. Working together to facilitate a positive connection for families and students to help each student and family be more successful in school and the community. These resources can include but are not limited to: food insecurity, utility assistance, clothing, medical care, mental health care, and medical insurance.

Residency Coordinator & McKinney Vento Liaison
The Pottstown School Districts' goal is to ensure homeless children and youth are provided with a free and appropriate public education regardless of housing status. Under the Mckinney-Vento Act, children who lack regular, fixed and adequate housing are eligible for additional resources to ensure their educational needs are met. The Residency Coordinator is also responsible for addressing residency concerns that may arise throughout the district and helping family work get connected through programs within the district and community.

Our licensed Home School Visitors will work with students, parents and staff to address truancy issues.
The essential functions of our Home and School visitors include:
Conducts home visits of students who are experiencing challenges such as attendance, academics and discipline
Assist parents with referrals for appropriate community resources.
Attend assigned District Justice and Juvenile Court proceedings.
Work with assigned alternative school programs and provide services to students attending those schools.
