WELCOME TO PRE-K ROOM 106!

I'm the short one. :-)

I have been with the Pottstown School District since 1997. I was an Instructional Aide at Rupert Elementary before receiving my contract in 1998. I have taught at Barth, Franklin and, currently, Lincoln. I have taught 1st, 4th, and 3rd grades and, for the last 13 years, Pre-Kindergarten. My undergraduate degree is from West Chester University. I received my M. Ed. from Cabrini College. I have additional certifications from Albright and Alvernia. I am currently completing my Administrative certificate with Cabrini College. I live in the Exeter Township area of Reading, where I have resided for nearly 16 years. I have a lovely house that I share with my cat, Lucky. I am an avid theatergoer and I love spending time in NYC and Philadelphia experiencing all those wonderful cities have to offer! I am also heavily involved as an actor, director, musical director and accompanist with Genesius Theatre, where I formerly served on the Board of Directors

We will be studying a great deal of concepts in Pre-K. Among them; shapes, colors, recognizing numbers to 10, counting to 20, etc. We will also be focusing on pre-reading concepts like syllabication, rhyming, onset and rime, and phonemic awareness. Our entire curriculum is implemented through a wide variety of instructional techniques. We will sing, dance, play, do art projects, recite poems, put on plays, paint, draw, write and color (among other things J). The district has adopted a 6-day schedule. Each day will receive a number, 1–6. The students will have Library class on Day 3. The students will also be learning from our current Literacy series, “Little Treasures”, and a new Math series, “My Math”.

I would like to extend an invitation to please feel free to contact me at anytime via note (I will check bags and folders every day.), via email ([email protected]), or through the school office (610-970-6646).

I am honored to have this privilege to be a part of your child’s Pre-K experience.
