PHS grad is an early bird making a difference

Green and CeresiPHS grad, Andrew Green will be graduating from Temple University a year early with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a minor in geography and urban studies.

He already has lots of experience in public service having served as an intern for both state representative, Joe Ciresi and congresswoman Madeleine Dean. When I asked what he wanted to do after graduation, he responded, I plan to continue my work in public service, hopefully working with local politicians and community leaders to advocate for ideals that are close to my heart and my home community of Pottstown.

While at Temple, he participated in a number of academic excellence groups and was active in local community outreach in the city of Philadelphia. He said Pottstown means a lot to me so I brought a small piece of my home with me to school. I try to connect my studies with what I can do for my hometown and have done several projects and proposals using Pottstown as a unit of analysis. After graduation I hope to move back home and support my community. Pottstown HIgh School has a 143 year history of preparing students for success at every level. With over 19,000 graduates PHS Trojans can be found making positive contributions in every field of endeavors.

Thank you Andrew for giving us another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown. Please help share the good news
