Pottstown High School Career Technical Education programs help students prepare for success after high school. Recent PHS graduate James Ryder returned to speak with students in Mr. Andy Bachman's engineering class. He spoke to them about his apprenticeship at GlaxoSmithKline, a global leader in developing medicines for respiratory disease. In addition to earning a wage as an apprentice, GSK also pays his tuition to attend college two days a week and continues to pay his hourly wage while he is attending class.  James told the class that their high school experience in the engineering program will pay off as they enter the workforce. Mr. Backman said James is one of many success stories of our CTE programs. Our programs, students and staff live up to the district mission, of preparing each student, by name for success at every level. They give us more reason to say Proud to be from Pottstown. Please help share the good news. Hope the new year is off to a good start.
