Pottstown middle and high school girl wrestlers had a strong showing at the Downingtown Women's Wrestling Round Robin Tournament.  Over 120 girls from Southeast PA did battle in a round-robin style tournament, which calls for a wrestler to take on every opponent in their group to determine a winner. Leyna Johnson and Riley Maguire picked up valuable experience. Riley went undefeated on the day to earn a Championship Shirt and made history as Pottstown Middle School's first-ever girl's tournament champ.  In the high school division, Tara Morgan continues to be that quiet storm, until mat time. Pinning everyone in her group to earn 1st place. Trinity Rhodes Fisher is another newcomer with lots of potentials, going 2-1 on the day for 2nd place. After an opening-round lost Vida Torres-Comacho scored two wins by pin to place 2nd. Xiyah Robinson a four-year veteran showed she is preparing to make a run at this year's state tournament by pinning her way to the championship. Our girls are outstanding representatives of our community. Their skills and sportsmanship give us all more reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown.
