It’s a start, a “first down” if you will, on the gridiron of school funding reform in Pennsylvania. Gov. Tom Wolf last week signed into law a $40.8 billion state budget for 2021-22 that boosts school funding by $416 million and provides $100 million to the state’s 100 poorest school districts in a Level Up initiative proposed by advocates for fair school funding.
