Congratulations to Darius Smallwood, his second place finish at the District I Cross Country meet has earned him a spot in the state championship meet next week in Hershey.
Darius ran an outstanding race in very windy and cold conditions. He covered the 3.1 mile course in 17:28.1 which was just one tenth of a second behind the first place runner. Christian Albert also had a strong showing with a time of 22:19 for 40th place.
Congratulations to two fine PHS student athletes who represent our school and community with pride and honor. Coach Stephanie Konnick said, these two young men have been an inspiration to our team and our true leaders and excellent examples of sportsmanship.
