Trojan Man Leads Fight on Childhood Cancer

Pottstown High School Team Trojan Man under the leadership of teacher Mr. Dave Woodley continue their efforts to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Childhood Cancer. The Trojan Nation joined forces with the National Mascots for a Cure organization at Citizens Bank Park to take part in the Philly Mascot Mini Marathon 5K (3.1 miles) run benefiting cancer research. Joining forces with the Philly Phanatic and an assortment of other mascots from the area they not only ran, but were on hand to take photo-ops and promote Mascots for a Cure.

Trojan Man, PHS senior Brandon Gebhard and Woodley both participated in the run with Brandon, ruining in his first ever 5K placing 16th overall and 4th in his age group in a time of 32:32 ! In another solid showing Mr. Woodley placed 15th overall, 2nd in his age group, with a time of 31:21. After the run Trojan Man along with the other mascots gave support to the children participating in the Kids Quarter Mile Run.

Trojan Man was at the starting line to encourage them to do their best and to cheer for them on their return. Trojan Proud of Trojan Man and Mascots for a Cure on another great event helping to raise money and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer.
