PHS girls show gridiron grit in history, making victory

Trojan, proud of the players and coaches of our PHS girls flag football team.

Trojan, proud of the players and coaches of our PHS girls flag football team. They kicked off the program's inaugural season with a home game victory in front of hundreds of fans in our stadium under the lights. The players put their  talents and tenacity on full display in a 29 -15 victory over Chichester. Coaches Karissa Zechman, Moriah Hopkins, & Scott Mader designed deceptive offensive plays and an impenetrable defensive scheme. Offensively Kiara Jackson made Trojan flag football history by scoring the program's first touchdown. Daniela Castillo added 2 touchdowns and Aaliyah Fraelich-Johnson had a TD. Extra points were made by  Di'zeira Duren, Maggie Finger-Hayes and Kiara Jackson. Quarterbacks Yamiraha Sahad & Nicole Castillo lead the offense.

Our young ladies had a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm as they represented our school and community with pride, honor, and good sportsmanship. Thanks for giving us another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown.
