For over 50 years, this couple (John and Marlene Armato) have dedicated their lives to the students, parents, and staff, as well as the educational and co-curricular programs of our district and community. Several months ago, Borough Council unanimously approved renaming part of Franklin Street in their honor, between our middle and high school, where daily, hundreds of students and cars travel.
This sign is a reminder to us all that standing up for your community, getting involved, and showing up can have such a positive effect. It was an honor to be a part of the dedication ceremony which commemorated both Marlene and John as a couple dedicated to the people of this town.
When you see them, be sure to thank them for being living, lifelong examples of why we say, "Proud to be from Pottstown!!"
