Trojans earn state honors on track and in classroom

Trojan Proud of our Pottstown High School students who earned state honors on the track and in the classroom.

Tyrese Washington ran a 14.01 in the 110 hurdles at the PIAA State Track Championships to earn 1st place and Terryece Phillips jumped to 2nd place in the Long Jump with a leap of 23 feet 3 inches. While Washington and Phillips were representing our school and community on the track, students from Mr. Andy Bachman's engineering class were demonstrating state level academic skills at the Governor's STEM competition with a 1st place effort in the 3D Design category. Austin Sundstrom,Regina Fleming and Mehki Jenkins-Glover combined academic knowledge with creativity and imagination in using our 3D printer to develop an assisted walking device for impaired individuals.

Our students demonstrate a high level of commitment to achieving their goals and provide us with more reasons to say, proud to be from Pottstown. Hard work does pay off.
