Pottstown High School grad Darius Smallwood is using the foundation he built in high school to represent Penn State with style and grace. As a member of the track team he ran the 3rd fastest time in Penn State history to earn the Bronze Medal in the 600 meters (1:16.31) at the Big Ten Indoor Championships. He also placed 4th in the 8oo meters at the championships. He competes with honor, pride, integrity and sportsmanship. Smallwood was recognized with the 2023 Penn State Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
