Congratulations to Layla Bearden and Arianna Torres, members of both the Winter Indoor and Spring track teams. Their hard work has paid off in constant improvement in their events of discus and shot put.
Bearden started the winter season at the Kutztown Invitational, which drew over 700 competitors from several states. She put the shot 23 feet 3 inches finishing 13th out of 29 competitors. By the final meet of the season she had improved her distance by almost 3 feet with a throw of 26 feet.
Arianna made her debut at the Henderson Polar Bear meet throwing 22-01 and placing 10th overall. By the end of the season her throw of 31 feet 2 inches placed her 3rd overall. Trojan Proud of these student athletes who are proof that hard work pays off.
