Jeff Moyer, PHS Trojan class of 1989 is a Health and Physical Education Teacher at the Spring-Ford 5th & 6th Grade Center. He was recently recognized for his efforts supporting the American Heart Association through the Hoops For Heart Program.
A former Rupert Elementary student, he lost his father to heart disease. Yearly he organizes the fundraiser for his school's students and staff.They participate in a variety of basketball activities and raise money to support the American Heart Association's mission to fight heart disease and stroke.
Heart disease is the number 1 killer worldwide.This is a cause and event he is passionate about and single-handedly organizes each spring. This year the fundraiser was 4th in the nation, raising $14,058! His efforts over the last 25 years have raised close to $300,000 dollars for the American Heart Association.
