Congratulations to Elizabeth Adedeji for completing the FREE Accounting Career Awareness Program at Point Park University this past summer.
She was accepted into the program where she was introduced to the world of accounting, business, economics, and finance through an educational and interactive curriculum involving all aspects of business. She and several like minded sophomores and juniors worked together to complete several projects including creating their own business model. She also worked with Point Park University professionals, faculty and business, government and community mentors. Field trips were also a part of the learning.
When asked what was her favorite she replied, "My favorite project was when we had to make our own business from scratch, we had to find an actual building and calculate all the expenses including the credits and debits." They also competed in the correct calculations of their company and she won 2nds place including a $25 gift card to Amazon!
