On Saturday, after a long day of practice that began in early morning hours, the Pottstown High School Marching Band took home the 1st place trophy in the American Open Class at the Boyertown "Arlen Saylor" Cavalcade of Bands competition.
Their first outing of the season netted a score of a 71.6 to take 1st place, and win both the High Percussion and High Auxiliary awards. Under the direction of David Bonilla-Garcia, the band begins its competitive season strong as they continue towards Cavalcade of Bands Championships held on November 13th in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
