Pottstown High School grad Owen Morton has been named captain of the Alvernia University football team. An academic senior with junior athletic eligibility due to NCAA COVID rules. At the tight end position he has the dual role of blocker and receiver.
Owen's leadership carries into the classroom with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Business Administration he maintains a Dean's List 3.7 GPA. A four year starter this is his second year as team captain.
His excellence on the field and in the classroom have been recognized by being named to the MAC All Academic and All Conference Teams. Owen lives up to the Pottstown School District mission of preparing for success at every level. His hard work is paying off and gives us more reason to say Proud to be from Pottstown.
