POTTSTOWN — Representatives of the Kids in Need Foundation and Tri County Toyota paid a visit to Lincoln Elementary School Wednesday to distribute free backpacks filled with school supplies.

This is the third year for the “Big Summer Giveback” program run by the foundation and Toyota involving 620 dealerships nationwide.

Over the past three years, the partnership has provided supplies worth $3.75 million supporting 140,000 students.

This year, an additional 60,000 students, including those at Lincoln, are receiving new school-supply-filled backpacks.

Nearly 50 Toyota dealerships have committed to donations of $10,000 each to support under-resourced schools.
