Student skills put to the test

Congratulations to PHS students representing our career technical education department at the SkillsUSA competition. Competing in a wide range of career paths, including early childhood education, advertising design, cosmetology, technical math, automotive services, job, interview skills, culinary arts, customer service, technical computer application, and medical terminology.

SkillsUSA is a co-curricular career and technical student organization that challenges students to showcase their talents while building leadership skills and having a chance to work with peers from other districts along with business and industry leaders.

Our students took the challenge, many of them stepping outside of their comfort zone to gain valuable experience that will benefit them in the real world workplace. Competing with students from across southeast Pennsylvania PHS students gave us lots of reason to say proud to be from Pottstown.

Special congratulations to those students earning a place on the award stand.
