PHS, College and Career Counselor Susan Pritt has been logging a lot of miles taking juniors and seniors on college campus tours. The road trips have included campus visits to West Chester University, Thaddeus, Stevens College of Technology, Millersville, Cheyney, Temple and Lehigh universities. Students heard presentations from admission counselors on a wide variety of topics, including acceptance process, financial aid, student life, and academic programs. Touring the campuses, students had the opportunity to see firsthand dorm rooms, dining halls, academic buildings, libraries, student centers, and much more.
Our students encountered some familiar faces along the way. PHS alumni Najae Perez and Gina Fleming guided the tour of Lehigh where they are scholarship freshmen enrolled in the 4 plus 1 program. At Temple University, Trojan alumni now freshmen, Madison Beasly, Leilandi Davis, Janaiya Baker took time from class for a photo op. Everyone is all smiles in the photo at Millersville University with seniors Cheynia Boyer, Ashley Gatheca, Aniyah Wells.
Ms. Pritt said, trips like this give our students the opportunity to get a real sense of what life on a college campus is like and how it fits their needs. Planning for upcoming road trips include Drexel, Villanova and Kutztown University.
