Elementary Teacher making Waves

Trojan Proud of Rupert Elementary teacher, Miss Becca Cubbler who competed in the US Swimming Masters competition held in Indianapolis. She returned home from the five day competition with a national championship in the women’s 400 m Individual Medley which requires a swimmer to use all four competitive strokes on consecutive lengths of the race. ( Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle ) 

Her time of 4;42.27 earned a first place national championship in the 25-29 age group and a second place overall women in the competition. She also competed in the 1000 m freestyle event where she took first place in both her age group and overall with a time of. 10;46.70.

Miss Cubbler is no stranger to a swimming pool. She has been making waves ever since her Bloomsburg University days, where she was a standup competitor.

Becca takes the same dedication, enthusiasm, passion, and work ethic into the classroom, where she lives up to her school district mission of preparing each student by name for success at every level. She is truly an example of hard work pays off and has given us another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown.
