Students from Pottstown High School Health Occupation program paid a visit to Barth Elementary to give a hands-on lesson on the proper way to wash hands as part of a healthy living lifestyle. After applying a lotion that was to stimulate invisible germs on their hands students used the handwashing techniques they were taught.
A before and after ultraviolet light hand check was used to show students how successful they were in washing off the invisible "germs". They quickly learned what it takes to have clean hands and the high school students got hands on real life health services experience.
