Having the proper school tools is essential to students being able to achieve academic success!
Thanks to a family effort. Students in Megan Yorgey’s Kindergarten class at E.B. Barth Elementary School will have all the classroom supplies they need to help prepare them for success at every level.
Riley Petrick, a sophomore at Downingtown East High School, and Granddaughter of Barth kindergarten classroom volunteer Maureen Petrick conducted a school supply drive and asked her
friends and teachers to donate to the effort.
Riley said, "I was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic support that I received for this project. Seeing the happy faces on students and knowing that it will help them in the classroom is very rewarding.
Lending a helping hand seems to run in the family, Riley's Aunt Erin Schwenk, our School District Federal Programs Coordinator, was on hand to help unload the supplies and distribute them to students.
Barth principal Michael Ishler said, "We appreciate the selfless donation of time and supplies which will help our students on their journey to academic success."
Thank you for giving us another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown.
