Students take Olympic challenge

Pottstown elementary students competed in the inter district Reading Olympic competition. Teams of students read 20 books and then had to work together for a rapid recall of facts as they competed using video conferencing. This activity promotes reading comprehension, fact retention, teamwork, and communication skills. From captivating stories to fierce competition these young Olympians show true determination, and teamwork. Special thanks to all of the teachers who worked with the students to prepare for this event. Specially designed T-shirts were donated by our friends at Diamond Credit Union. Thanks to all for giving us another reason to say, proud to be from Pottstown.
