Trojan Female Wrestlers Win Battle In Gettysburg

Pottstown High School female members of the wrestling team traveled to Gettysburg to take part in an all female dual meet tournament. They teamed up with Gettysburg High School to take on teams from ten other schools from across the state in three rounds of competition.

The Trojans with their Gettysburg partners went undefeated for the day scoring three convincing victories. Individually the Trojans had great success with Mia Bumbarger going 3-1 on the day with 3 pins the fastest in 26 seconds Zoe Earle looked strong ,scoring 2 pins while going 2-1. Julianna Figueroa went 3-1 with 2 pins, fastest in 29 seconds. 

She dropped a hard fought 9-5 loss to one of the top ranked wrestlers in the nation. Coach Wade said I am very proud of our wrestlers. Their hard work is paying off. They come to practice everyday ready to put in the work to improve. 

Today was an example of Effort Execution Results. Our wrestlers are part of a statewide effort to have the PIAA recognize female wrestling as an official sport.
