Good Morning Pottstown Parents and Community Partners,

Last night, Jaheim Lamarre, one of our senior students at Pottstown High School, was tragically shot and killed in Philadelphia. Our hearts are grieving for his family and friends. Many of our students are already aware of this through social media outlets. Counseling services are available for both students and staff as we process this terrible incident together, despite our current virtual format. It is important that if your child needs support, or just need to talk to someone about this, they are given the opportunity to do so. Please reach out to your classroom teacher, your school guidance counselor, or school principal if your child would like to speak with a counselor (virtually or by phone). Please do not hesitate to take advantage of these services.

Buenos días, padres y socios comunitarios de Pottstown,

Anoche, Jaheim Lamarre, uno de nuestros estudiantes de último año en Pottstown High School, fue trágicamente asesinado a tiros en Filadelfia. Nuestros corazones están de duelo por su familia y amigos. Muchos de nuestros estudiantes ya lo saben a través de las redes sociales. Los servicios de consejería están disponibles tanto para los estudiantes como para el personal mientras procesamos este terrible incidente juntos, a pesar de nuestro formato virtual actual. Es importante que si su hijo necesita apoyo, o simplemente necesita hablar con alguien sobre esto, se le dé la oportunidad de hacerlo. Comuníquese con el maestro de su salón de clases, el consejero escolar o el director de la escuela si su hijo desea hablar con un consejero (virtualmente o por teléfono). No dude en aprovechar estos servicios.
