Pottstown Recognizes Innovative Driven Education (PRIDE) After School Program

Dear Pottstown Middle School Families,

We would like to introduce our new families and welcome back our returning families to the Pottstown Recognizes Innovative Driven Education (PRIDE) After School Program. This programming is FREE for any PMS full-time students. PRIDE is an exciting student opportunity, which will include:

34 weeks Oct-May Year-long activities - Sessions begin October 5, 2020

After School Programming ( Virtual at least until January. If school returns face-face in January, so will the PRIDE after school program)

Academic Enrichment (Math, Language Arts, Reading), College & Career Exploration, Career & Technical Education Exploration, Environmental Science,Robotics & Coding, Visual Arts and Textiles, Crossfit/Wellness, Kung-Fu, Dance, Board Game Design and Marketing (Creator's Block), Extended Library, Leadership and Mentoring.

This opportunity replaces the iSucceed After School Program and is the best enrichment program we have ever offered, spaces will fill up fast. Only PMS Students are eligible! If you have a 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grader and are interested in these opportunities, please sign up to register each student though the attached link. After you register, you will receive a follow-up email from one of the coordinators with the parent handbook, detailed information on how to sign your student up for enrichments, dates, and times to pick up the take-home kits, and a calendar with important dates.

All academic curriculum will be web-based, all sessions will be via Google Classroom and/or Zoom. A Chromebook and internet are required for this program at least at this time. If you need assistance with a Chromebook and/or internet please let us know and we will connect you with the Pottstown School District's IT department. “To go” take-home kits with activity supplies will be distributed every six (6) weeks at the Pottstown Middle School.
