Trojan Men Take On Zombies To Support Cancer Research

Pottstown High School Trojan Men show no fear when it comes to supporting cancer research. The club of students who wear the Trojan Man mascot uniform are known for their fundraising efforts for those in need. Recently they showed their courage at the Zombie 5K Run held at the Field of Screams and benefited the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. Lead by PHS teacher Mr. Dave Woodley, aka, Leader of The Trojan Nation, the team members included; Jon Oister, Jorge Mundo, Cole Miller, Daniel Darden, Derrick Darden, Dylan Murphy, Caleb Quiles, Gary Allan and Jared Hewitt. Each Trojan Man started the race with 3 “lives” represented by flags they wore around their waist. The goal was to avoid the zombies at all cost and make it to the end of the course with at least 1 flag remaining! This year's team had a very successful showing with all Trojan Men surviving the zombies while supporting the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. Woodley said I am very proud of our young men who understand the importance of thinking beyond themselves and taking an active role in making a positive difference in the lives of those who are suffering from the destructive disease of cancer.
