PSD Third Annual Father/Daughter Dance

Pottstown School District held their third annual Father/Daughter Dance at the Pottstown Middle School on Friday, November 15th. Girls in K- 6th grade were escorted by their fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles and father figures. The event was founded by School Board Vice President, Katina Bearden. The event is organized every year by Bearden with the help of parent, staff and student volunteers. ROTC students welcome and sign in fathers and daughters as they enter under a balloon arch. Dates walked along a red carpet to enter tickets into raffle baskets before entering into the cafeteria for dinner. Following dinner, fathers and daughters enjoyed dancing, DJ, face painting, limbo, and a photo booth in the PMS gymnasium. Halfway through the night, Katina stopped the music to speak to the girls about the importance of being young and strong leaders in society. Dates ended the night with cupcakes and goodie bags to take home.
