Fall Season Brings Inductions

DECA inductionsThe Fall may mark the time of the year when nature prepares to slow down for a long cold Winter, but at Pottstown High School it is a time of activity and induction for academic and career organizations. National Honor Society inducted 18 new members during a candle lighting ceremony. In order to be considered for membership students must have a 93% or higher grade point average and be chosen by the faculty council based on their involvement in the four pillars of NHS (leadership, scholarship, service, and character.)

Candle lighters for the ceremony were,Jonny Stilwell, Chloe Hebert, Sebastian Buchanan, Jacob Eagle Newly DECA inductionselected officers; Andrew Green Secretary , Winni Weng Vice President, Alexandria Olvera Treasurer and David Hicks President. The high school marketing club ( DECA ) under the direction of advisors Ms. Victoria McShea and Mr. Kiven Pascal inducted new members at a special ceremony held in the school cafeteria. 

A special video presentation of the groups past accomplishments was presented by student Kishan Patel. Some words of wisdom were given by special guest speaker Joshua Nulph, an officer in the national DECA organization. Along with the induction of 20 new members a new slate of officers took leadership positions. President, Angelica Calel,Vice President Emily Weber,Executive Director Kishan Patel and Management Director Mackenzie Moser.
