We All Want To Count!

Wednesday, May 20, 2020 2020 census

Good Morning Pottstown Families,

You can help make Pottstown strong, you can help bring much needed resources and support to our community. We have to let people know we count. I encourage you to be counted in the U.S. census. The last report from the county shows the borough of Pottstown has only 40% participation in the US census count. This could mean a serious loss in federal and therefore state grants and support as well as legislative representation for our school district and our community.

I cannot in strong enough terms communicate how important your participation is! It is fast and easy to complete and has no negative consequences to you whatsoever. But failure to participate in the census has plenty of negative consequences! There is perhaps no greater way you can advocate for your child or public education then by participating and getting others to participate in the US census process. Please see the link below and share with everyone you can! The district is proud to partner with the U.S. Census Bureau to help make sure Pottown is counted. Please visit 2020CENSUS.GOV and make sure you are counted.

Stay Safe,

Stephen Rodriguez
Pottstown School District
