Temporary Regulatory Suspension of Requirements for Children's Immunizations

We have received information from the PA Department of Health that immunization requirements for students about to enter and attend school and those immunization requirements at older certain grade levels ( ie. grades K, 7, 12 ) will have a two month grace period for the beginning of the school year. These immunizations will be required no matter what our school model is, including virtual students, for the 2020-2021 academic year.

All Students

  • 4 doses of Tetanus and Diphtheria (1 dose on or after the 4th birthday) (usually given as DTP, DTap, DT, TD)
  • 4 doses of polio (last dose on or after the 4" birthday)
  • 2 doses of Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
  • v 3 doses of hepatitis B
  • 2 doses of Varicella (chickenpox) or history of disease

Students in 7th Grade

  • 1 dose of Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) (Give on or after the child’s 11th birthday)
  • 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)

Students in 12th Grade

  • 2 doses of MCV (Second dose after 16 yrs. of age)
Message from the PA Department of Health immunization compliance will have a two month grace period for the beginning of the school year.
