Mr. Ollivier's Class

Hello, and welcome to my webpage! My name is Mr. Ollivier and I teach freshman World History.  I began my teaching career at West Chester University where I earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies.  Since then I have been teaching for the last five years.  I really love my job, my wife and my two dogs Marley and Hudson.  In my free time I enjoy traveling to different places in the country and around the world.  I also love sports and food.  My favorite teams are the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers.  My favorite foods are pizza, crab cakes, and cheese steaks.  Things I dislike are the Dallas Cowboys, coleslaw and apple sauce.  Over the course of the semester I hope I can get to learn more about you and what you are interested in!

Mr. Ollivier's Class

The purpose of this course is to give you, the student, a better understanding of the complex global community that we live and participate in on a daily basis. Throughout the semester, we will be looking at many aspects of our global community as they relate to political, economic, historical, geographic, religious, and culture themes relating to the past and present events of both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. The goal is that you will walk away from this course with a better understanding of the world around us and how it affects our everyday life here in the United States.
