PHS Engineering Cast Shadow On Carlisle Interconnect Technologies

Mr. Bachman shaking hands with CTIThanks to a partnership with Carlisle Interconnect Technologies 20 Pottstown High School students in Mr. Andy Bachman's Engineering class had a year long shadowing experience and learned about the world of manufacturing. Students were paired with CIT staff who served as a resource and mentor over the yearlong program. 
 
CIT staff paid a visit to tour the high school engineering program and learn how PHS is helping to prepare the next generation for the technology work force. CTI awarded certificates of achievement to students who completed the program.
 
Susan Chambers, HR Director of CIT said Hard to believe just a year ago we had a vision of exposing Students with c ertificatesstudents to careers in the STEM arena and we began our partnership with the Pottstown High Engineering Technology program. Our pilot year for the job shadow has been a huge success. 
 
Thanks to Mr. Bachman who played a major role in making this project a success. His students are fortunate to have a teacher with so much energy and desire to make a difference in students lives. CIT's commitment to our students and helping to build the technology workforce is an investment in the future, said Bachman.
