I am in my ninth year as an educator at Pottstown Middle School, and am a certified teacher in language arts and social studies. I am a proud fifth-generation Pottstown School District graduate. My wife, Dani, is also a sixth grade teacher at the Middle School, and my mom, Sue, is a director on the Pottstown School Board.
I was lucky enough to have teachers at Pottstown who helped instill in me a curiosity of learning. Their work over many years helped me be adequately prepared to earn a B. A. degree in history from Haverford College and M. S. in history from West Chester University. I was also fortunate that my Trojan education helped make me a well-rounded person, as I got to be involved in music, theater, newspaper, hockey, clubs, etc. I always felt like my teachers worked tirelessly to give me a safe place to learn and grow.
I now focus on trying to pass on that legacy of service to this community. I am committed to ensuring that the next generation has the same opportunities that I received here in Pottstown. My goal is to enhance the reading, writing, and communication skills which will be vital to their life and further education. This is their first true English class, and I have to help them be prepared for courses next year and throughout high school. In my classroom, they will receive the space and guidance to help their transition into becoming responsible and respectful young adults.
If at any time you are concerned about your child's education, I am more than willing to help. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
